Dzintari

Dzintari is an ideal dry hire site for school camps, spiritual retreats, special interest camps, family gatherings and more.

Managed by the Latvian Community and taking its name from the Latvian word for amber, the camp-site is indeed a gem as its competitively priced fees and spectacular vistas make it an attractive option for special events.

Dzintari is located 85 kms south of Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula, not far from the small coastal towns of Normanville, Yankalilla and the stunning Carrickalinga Beach.

Accommodation is available for up to 180 persons, in two separate dormitories as well as rooms in the central buildings. Please note Dzintari provides venue-only hire. Hirers provide own linen and bedding as well as catering.

The main building comprises a small kitchen, lounge room with open-fire place, leaders’ quarters, sitting room, first aid room, large kitchen, outdoor BBQ, dining room with piano, amenities and a number of bedrooms.

The site also provides a second separate amenities area, big hall with piano, outdoor worship area, firepit ampitheatre, and a flood-lit basketball court. Caretakers live on site.

Self-catering or camp preferred caterers can be recommended.

Dzintari provides group accommodation for 30-180 people.
